Raised in Virginia, Marissa Lippert’s love affair with food began before she could even read a recipe-she was shucking blue crabs like a pro by the age of 3 and snatching handfuls of chocolate cake when no one was looking. Marissa is now a Copenhagen, Denmark and New York City-based chef, dietitian, restaurateur, and author with over two decades of experience in the food and wellness industry. Exploring the intersection of food and self-care, her cooking inspires and cultivates sensory connections between ourselves, our community and nature’s eco-system around us.
Marissa is the founder of the former NYC café, Nourish Kitchen + Table, and Nourish Baby, a service nurturing infants and new mothers. She has worked with clients and brands on an international scale through her nutrition practice specializing in intuitive eating and wellbeing.
Marissa is currently working as the executive chef and culinary director of Villette restaurant in Copenhagen. She is also a contributing recipe columnist for Politiken, Denmark's leading newspaper. Marissa is slowly but surely writing her second cookbook rooted in self-care cooking and everyday eating habits. She has had the honor of cooking at the James Beard House, is the author of The Cheater’s Diet, and still loves a good handful of chocolate cake.
